Fireline piping is one of the most important elements that fire fighters and construction companies use to protect the public. These are often placed underground, away from sight, and are one of the first lines of defense when a fire strikes. Many times, these are connected to sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, and more. These lines are non-potable water systems and are designed to combat fires to help get them under control and managed before they take out large sections of a building.

I want to be sure credit is provided where credit is due. Richard Corbitt and the crew from Hughes Excavating did an outstanding job today with our fire hydrant replacement. Everyone was very professional. I don’t think it could have gone any smoother. Replacing a hydrant at our data center is not to be taken lightly. Water service is critical to the operations of our data center. Without water, we lose our main chiller plant, and possibly our computer room. Richard was able to keep the water pressure on to the building while isolating the section of pipe that required work. The crew from Hughes never missed a beat. They worked in a coordinated effort from start to finish. I am very happy with today’s work effort. Thanks again for all the help.
